CHARACTER HISTORY

- Astralin was created by Caelus, the deity of souls and spirits. He was created to host the soul of Etia, who destroyed the planet that his children resided in. As a result, Caelus ate the soul and almost died to the same corruption that was Etia’s soul. When it became too much for them to handle, Caelus, along with their siblings, crafted Astralin and Arsene. However, Astralin was strictly created by Caelus, and only Caelus, who granted him with immense power. His earliest memories are of Caelus telling him their own wishes for Astralin. To live a happy and fulfilling life, filled with memories and lasting love that they hope he would find through Caelus’ self imposed cruelty.

- After being placed into a corporeal form of a baby, a married couple on Kriafor agreed to take in Astralin and Arsene as their own children. Before they left, Caelus bestowed a familiar to Astralin that wouldn’t become active until he was older. After leaving Kriafor, Remiel and Gwendolyn Valen found a large, but quiet village to live in on the continent of Rhomya. There, they raised Astralin and Arsene, where they lived a simple but modest life.

- His childhood was normal, spending time between his home, the farm, and the village. He became well known in the village for helping several villagers with small tasks here and there. Eventually, as he got older, he picked up his parents’ trade, learning how to tend to their farm land. With the skills he learned and perfected, Astralin’s reputation started to grow beyond the village, with many people coming to the village to buy his crops.

- His reputation grew as the villagers became ill from an unknown source. With his budding healing magic, he was able to heal almost all of the villagers back to full health. News broke of his accomplishment, which prompted people in Rhomya to seek out his services. Unable to say no due to his kindness, he happily provided his healing abilities to those who asked, much to his parents’ and Caelus’ dismay.

- Well known in a moderate radius of Rhomya, his reputation reached a defector that was ejected from Kriafor. A man named Nox, an ori man, sought out Astralin’s power. In the middle of the night, while Astralin was helping his animals back into the barn, Nox struck him from behind and captured him while he was vulnerable. He was brought to the mountains where Nox hid. Astralin became a victim of several experimental torture methods to extract his magic. After several days of torture, the familiar that Caelus gave to him activated from his pain and anguish. Through the familiar, Caelus was able to basically smite Nox to death.

- After Nox’s death, Astralin was able to escape from the tower. Caelus was able to use their magic through the familiar and used it to teleport him to a nearby forest for safety. There, he was rescued by a mystic woman, Halina and her boyfriend who found him bleeding in the forest. They took him in, and cared for him in his vulnerable state. When he woke up, they continued to care for him for several months. Love blossomed between the three of them, prompting the other two to make the decision to follow him after a full recovery.

- Astralin returned home with his new lovers in tow. Upon arriving home and settling in, he was met by Caelus, who introduced who they were and why they were here. After a long, emotional conversation with them, Caelus promised to stay in contact with him and keep him safe from as much harm as they could.

- Life went as normal for a few years until Demetria Xydis’ conquest to gain power started a war. Astralin joined the resistance to heal members on the brink of death, but remained on the sideline as to not draw attention to himself. After the war was over, Astralin retired back to farm life and happily maintained a happy, normal life as Caelus intended him to have.

- When the second war broke out and Demetria’s seal was broken, Astralin supported his niece, Marianna Zachariae, who was the leader of the opposing side. While he mainly remained on the sidelines once more, Astralin took a more active role when his nephew and twin brother of Marianna was personally killed by Demetria as a message. It prompted Marianna to lose her mind temporarily, until Astralin was able to plead with Caelus to bring Aether’s soul back. They did, and in doing so, ended the war. Once again, Astralin returned to normal life. Around this time, his children were born.

- A century passed, and in an awful turn of events, his happiness and life choices influenced the seal of Etia to break in his body. The breaking of the seal did not end his life, but instead, caused a wide scale invasion. Cosmic horrors and creatures from Phaedra entered Gaia soon after. Filled with guilt, Astralin went to Caelus to explain what happened but the deity was well aware that there was always the possibility that it would happen. Caelus reassured that Astralin wasn’t to blame.

- The invasion happened for days. Astralin aided other villagers in protecting their village and nearby towns. His aid minimized casualties until Caelus and their siblings found a way to end the invasion and returned Etia to his normal state. At the end of the invasion, Caelus and their brother Erebus reversed the clock in their world and completely erased the memory of the invasion from the general public’s eye. Caelus returned those dead souls back to their original bodies, thus ending the entirety of that ordeal.

- After everything was over, Caelus once again approached Astralin and posed a question. They asked if Astralin hated them for everything that happened and that it was okay for him to admit it if he did. Though, without hesitation, Astralin admitted that he never hated Caelus and that he was genuinely happy and content with his life. Again, they had an emotional conversation that concluded his role in life, but not his true purpose to live.

- As of the current timeline, Astralin remains in his village with his wife and husband, as well as his children. He remains a renowned farmer, with plenty bountiful harvests.

CRAU: Expiation to Edictum:

Astralin only vaguely remembers his previous life in Expiation. He remembers that he had an acre of farmland and many animals on that farm. He wouldn't have any hazy memories of the events that happened in Expiation, but he would remember the CR that he had with several characters. Everything else that happened in Expiation is a blank to him, besides his small accomplishments with the building of his farm and the hot springs.
